Types of cupping
There are three types of cupping: dry, wet, and sliding. We will show each type, and how it works in steps.
First, the method of dry cupping
It is known as the air cup, and it is done with these steps:
Put the cup on the affected place (depending on the type of disease).
Draw the air inside the cup with a special syringe.
Suction the surface of the skin inside the cup.
Trap the air by closing the stopcock.
Leave the cup for five minutes.
Withdrawal of the cup, where redness appears in the place from which the cup was withdrawn.
Second, the method of wet cupping
It is done as follows:
Condition the skin from the outside with a depth of not more than one mm, and the length of the streaks should be four mm.
The dashes should be arranged in three rows.
Place the cup above these rows for two seconds.
Suctioning and holding the air for a second, a quantity of blood comes out, and the size of the quantity varies according to the disease.
Pull the cup very carefully, placing a piece of cloth at the bottom of the cup.
Gradually remove the air by pulling out the stopcock, and placing another piece of cloth to remove the blood.
Wipe the blood from the bottom up using the piece placed under the cup.
Disinfect the place using fresh honey, or a specific disinfectant.
For best results, this process can be repeated more than once.
Third, sliding cupping
Wipe the place with mint oil, or olive oil.
Suction the oil little by little, moving the cup; Until bad blood gathers in the place.
